Truyện Kiều trên đá cuội - Kỷ lục mới tại Festival Huế 2008

3254 câu thư pháp truyện Kiều được viết trên 1635 viên đá cuội đã xác lập kỷ lục mới bởi nghệ sỹ Nguyễn Văn Tân, chàng trai đất Huế mới 25 tuổi. Tác phẩm được triển lãm trong khuôn khổ Festival Huế 2008.

Trong nhiều năm nay, giới nghệ thuật nước nhà đã tìm tòi nhiều cách thể hiện kiệt tác Truyện Kiều của đại thi hào nguyễn Du bằng các hình thức và trên các chất liệu khác nhau. Dù gây sốc với những kỷ lục dạng như thư pháp Truyện Kiều trên tấm lụa dài nhất của Trịnh Tuấn hay không thì những sản phẩm nghệ thuật này đều có một ý nghĩa là tôn vinh giá trị văn học của kiệt tác văn chương thế kỷ 18 này.

Tại Festival Huế 2008, anh chàng sinh viên năm thứ 4 trường Đại học Nghệ thuật Huế - Nguyễn Văn Tân đã cho ra mắt cách thể hiện tác phẩm Truyện Kiều bằng cách mới - trên những hòn đá cuội.
Văn Tân bắt đầu đến với thư pháp cách đây 6 năm. Không thầy dạy, anh tự mày mò học môn nghệ thuật này trên những mảnh giấy báo cũ. Viết hỏng lại vò nát, vứt đi. Đây cũng là cách học phổ biến của dân thư pháp. Bởi từ cách làm này, họ có thể tôi luyện được kỹ năng và sự mềm mại của ngòi bút mà không mấy tốn kém.

Sau khi cảm thấy tự tin, thư pháp gia trẻ này bắt đầu tìm cách thể hiện tác phẩm trên giấy trắng và gạch. Thành quả của quá trình mày mò là triển lãm nghệ thuật biểu diễn thư pháp tại trường Nguyễn Đình Chiểu, TP Huế.

Quá trình tìm tòi chất liệu để thể hiện Truyện Kiều được Tân đặt ra và anh chợt nhớ đến những viên đá cuội màu trắng được bày bán ở các cửa hàng nội thất. Không phải vài đỏ, vải son và cũng không cố gắng để tạo ra điều mới mẻ, với chàng trai này thì việc viết thư pháp Truyện Kiều trên đá đơn giản chỉ vì một suy nghĩ, đá là chất liệu đầu tiên để con người truyền đạt những thông tin lên đó. Anh muốn tác phẩm của mình được thể hiện trên chất liệu này như một cách trở về với tổ tiên của loài người.
Tân mua đá về, lựa chọn và lọc lấy những viên đá có thể sử dụng được, rửa sạch và cặm cụi thể hiện tác phẩm trước thềm Festival. Tác phẩm lớn được thực hiện trong 21 ngày và cả một quá trình miệt mài học hỏi.

“Với bản thân tôi thì đó là công việc và mong muốn mọi người nhận được niềm vui và vẻ đẹp của văn học Việt”, thư pháp gia chia sẻ về tác phẩm của mình.
Sản phẩm này đã ngốn của chàng sinh viên 50 triệu đồng và anh hi vọng sẽ bán được 20.000 USD. Nếu được như vậy, một phần tiền anh sẽ chuyển cho Trung tâm nuôi dậy trẻ mồ côi để làm từ thiện. Phần còn lại, Tân sẽ dùng để sáng tác thêm một tác phẩm mới.
Chiều nay, hai sự kiện tương tự sẽ diễn ra là khai mạc triển lãm thư pháp tiền vệ của nhóm Zen’ei Gang of Five với 30 tác phẩm thư pháp kiểu mới và nghệ thuật sắp đặt mang tên Công trình thi ca với 200 ngôi sao chứa cát trắng. Trên mỗi ngôi sao viết tên một nhà thơ với ý nghĩa: Danh vọng cũng chỉ là một dấu chân trên cát.
