Trong mắt Hiếu Tín, thư pháp chữ Việt luôn mang lại niềm cảm hứng vô tận. Rất thích những con chữ sống động, phong trần của các bậc tiền bối nhưng không vì thế mà con chữ của Tín “sao y bản chính”. Những con chữ tuôn chảy từ bàn tay, tấm chân tình của Tín, có bay bướm nhưng không khó đọc, có nét “nữ tính” nhưng không thiếu mạnh mẽ, linh động nhưng cũng chừng mực hài hòa. Nói theo người trong “nghề chơi” thì con chữ có nét “chân thư” lẫn “hành thư”.

Hiếu Tín vốn trầm, lại càng trầm hơn khi nói về những người xin chữ theo phong trào, về những bức thư pháp “sao y bản chính”, cái mừng, cái lo khi “ra ngõ gặp thư pháp”…Nhưng cũng chính cái giọng An Giang hồn hậu ấy lại sôi nổi hẳn khi nói về những con chữ chảy trên giấy khi vô thức, lúc thăng hoa mà Tín đã “say”gần mười năm qua.

Nếu có thứ gì nhiều nhất trong ngôi nhà của Hiếu Tín thì đó chỉ có thể là thư pháp. Tôi nhớ nhất là bức thư pháp được treo ở một vị trí trang trọng: “Chân tâm tài tất đáo”. Vâng! Chân tâm! Đã có một chân tâm!
